Christopher Lynn Ono, 26, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, in Winslow. Memorial services were held Feb. 15 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Winslow Stake Center. Interment followed at the family plot in Wide Ruins.
He was born on Nov. 30, 1984, in Gallup, N.M.
Chris was an awesome and fun son, brother and nephew. He lived life and loved everyone in his life.
His hobbies were listening to heavy metal and oldies, dancing, fishing, playing video games, laughing and making jokes. He was just a very kind and loving person, and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Survivors include his father, Manuel (Lola) Ono; his mother, Ruth Taylor; one brother, Lambert Long; two sisters, Celestial Taylor and Brittanny Taylor; two nephews, Anthony and Isaac Long; two half-brothers, Richard (Luci) Ono and Danny Ono; four half-sisters, Donna (Stephen) Sanchez, Rita (Ben) Montiel, Dolores (Joe) Ochoa and Ann (Nick) Arredondo; and his paternal grandmother, Lucy Ono.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joe Ono; his maternal grandfather, Burke Long; his maternal grandmother, Mary T. Long; his uncle, Burton Long; and his stepfather, Kenneth Taylor.
Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.
