Twenty Holbrook High School Future Business Leaders of America students participated in the Eastern Region Leadership Conference held Feb. 9 in Pima, including (front row, left to right) Jonina Hatathli, Dawnafè Yazzie, Rajan Joshi, Emily Miller, Tyler Foree, Ben Nafziger, (back row) Phillip Morris, Tina Aspaas, Hannah Clark, Amanda DeJohn, Aaron O’Dell, Marlin Begay, Jeremiah Dale, Amber Gene, Shahannah Martin, Danielle John, Cody Hanley, Sophine Yazzie, Jessica Smith and Berrana Begody. They were accompanied by advisers Susan Nafziger and Ginny Novell. There were about 700 students representing more than 30 schools who participated in written tests in Business Math, Personal Finance, Economics, Introduction to Business, FBLA Principles and Procedures, Word Processing, Business Procedures and performance events, including Impromptu Speaking, Business Ethics and Client Service. Workshops were held for the students during non-testing and performing times. Emily Miller placed second in Impromptu Speaking.
