Rex Dale, 46, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2011, in Flagstaff with many of his family members at his side. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Feb. 23 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Holbrook. The committal service and interment followed at the Holbrook Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 21, 1964, in Winslow to David H. Dale and Theresa (Webster) Dale.
Rex was a loving father, brother and uncle who enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, sports and being with his friends.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1983 to 1989, and was stationed in South Carolina and Germany.
Survivors include his two children, Kathleen Dale and Elijah Dale; his mother, Theresa Dale; eight brothers and sisters, Danny (Maggie) Dale, David (Serita) Dale Jr., Lee Dale, Susie Benton, June Joe, Katie (Pete) Terry, Doris (John) Yazzie and Sandra G. Dale; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Cory Dale; his father, David H. Dale; and four brothers, Marshall Dale, Rusty Dale, Richard Dale and Lucky Dale.
Owens Livingston Mortuary of Holbrook was in charge of the arrangements.
