Snowflake and Taylor voters will go to the polls on Tuesday, March 8, to make their selections in the towns’ primary elections. The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Candidates for three seats on the Taylor Town Council include incumbent Robin Palmer, and Greg Cardita, Fay Hatch, Shawn Palmer, Gary Solomon and Lon Willis.

In Snowflake, the mayor’s post and two council seats will be up for election. Mayor Kelly Willis will be challenged by Vice Mayor Kerry Ballard. Vying for the open council seats are incumbent Lorri Davis, and Julius Aubin, Cristina Chugg, Blaine Jarvis, Beverly Kay and Gregory Kroeger.

Also on both ballots will be renewal of the Home Rule option. A vote in favor of the Home Rule option will allow council members to set expenditure limitations when they set the budget, rather than have the State of Arizona set the limit.
