Theresa Vera “Susie” Martorana, 63, died on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, in Payson. A graveside service was held March 9 at the Holbrook Cemetery, with Sister Esther officiating.
Susie was born on Feb. 13, 1948, in Holbrook to the late Benjamin Joseph and Theresa (Marquez) Wade. She lived her entire life in Holbrook and was a loving homemaker to her family. She truly enjoyed spending her time in the service of others. One of Susie’s favorite things to do was going to yard sales. She loved shopping at yard sales and was always on the lookout for a great bargain.
Susie loved gifts. She was generous in her giving and received a great deal of joy as she gave countless gifts to others. She also gave of her time and talents to those in need without being asked. This attribute truly set her apart from others and it made her happy.
This beautiful lady will be missed by many, but none will miss her more than her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Walker of Holbrook; her son, Jerry Martorana Sr. of Holbrook; one sister, Patricia Wade of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, John Ray Wade of Phoenix and Johnny Perilli of Holbrook; three grandchildren, Desiree Walker, Jerry Martorana Jr. and Mary Jane Martorana.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Martorana; a daughter, Julie Martorana; and two brothers, Benny Wade and Donald Wade.
Owens Livingston Mortuary of Holbrook was in charge of the arrangements.
