James Alan Davis, 62, died on Sunday, March 20, 2011, at his home in Snowflake surrounded by his family. Private services are planned.
Alan was born on May 26, 1948, in Newark, N.J., to the late James and Clare Davis.
In 1972, Alan married Marie Rathbun of Sayreville, N.J., and they raised five daughters in South Brunswick, N.J., prior to moving to Snowflake in 2004.
Alan was a journeyman with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 164 for 35 years, an active member for Middlesex County 4-H for 16 years, and a past national vice commander and past department commander of the Sons of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Marie of Snowflake; his brother, Jay of Marlton, N.J.; five daughters, Vickie Lindlar of Keansburg, N.J., Kelly Errico of Winchester, Mass., Sara Davis of Surprise, Katie Davis of Palm Bay, Fla., and Teri Davis of Woburn, Mass.; and six grandchildren, Tiffani and Daniel Lindlar, Ethan and Ean Errico, Braden Donahue and Anthony Vasko.
Memorial contributions in his name to the White Mountain Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1975, Lakeside, Ariz. 85929, have been suggested by his family.
Owens Livingston Mortuary of Snowflake was in charge of the arrangements.
