Winners of the Snowflake-Taylor Lions Club essay contest were honored at a dinner on March 17. Among those in attendance were Lions Club Secretary Beverly Taylor, second place winner Robert Carrol, teacher Cheryl Barnes, Lions Club President Fred Carnahan and first place winner Justin Fehr.

Snowflake-Taylor Lions Club held an awards dinner on March 17 at El Rancho Restaurant for winners of the essay contest and their families.

The Lion’s International contest is for visually impaired students. Justin Fehr took first place and Robert Carrol was the second place winner. The theme of the essay contest was the power of peace, and each winner received a check. Fehr’s essay was sent on for further competition at the District level.

Other guests in attendance were teacher Cheryl Barnes, teacher’s aide Laura Kohler and Snowflake Uni-fied School District Board President Shea Flake.
