Ettore Silvio Andreoni, 86, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 24, 2011, at his home in Snowflake. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, at Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church, located at 1655 S. Main St. in Snowflake, with a viewing beginning at 9:30 a.m. The concluding committal service and interment will follow at the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery in Taylor.
“Ed,” as he was known to all who loved him, was born in Chicago, Cook County, Ill., on Nov. 28, 1924. He lived in Chicago until 1954, then moved California.
He served in the Air Force during World War II, where he trained to be a pilot.
Ed and Jane were married Jan. 19, 1981. Together they celebrated more than 30 wonderful years. They moved to Snowflake in July 2005.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Andreoni; three children, Renee Mitchell, Randolph Andreoni and Roxanne Padilla; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lola Comardo and Sylvia Johnnic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luigi and Fiorina (Pecorai) Andreoni; his brother, George Andreoni; and a son, Anthony Andreoni.
