Special Holy Week services are planned at several churches in Holbrook and Winslow. Residents and visitors are invited to attend.

The annual presentation of The Living Last Supper will be held at 6 o’clock tonight and Saturday (April 22 and 23) at the First Assembly of God, located at 500 Mission Lane.

Good Friday services will be held tonight at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 212 E. Arizona St. in Holbrook, with Stations of the Cross to be presented at 6 o’clock and Good Friday Communion to follow at 7 o’clock. On Holy Saturday, April 23, an Easter Vigil Mass will begin at 10 p.m. Easter Sunday Mass will be held the following day at 10 a.m.

St. George’s Episcopal Church will hold an Easter vigil at 7 p.m. on Saturday, with regular services slated at 9 a.m. on Sunday. The church is located at 168 W. Arizona St. in Holbrook.

The United Methodist Church and Peace Lutheran Church will be combining for an Ecumenical Good Friday Service at 6 o’clock tonight, at the Holbrook United Methodist Church, located at 118 W. Arizona St.

The Winslow Ministerial Association will hold its annual Good Friday services at 7 o’clock tonight at the First Baptist Church, located at 411 N. Warren Ave.

The annual Easter play will be performed at 7 p.m. on Saturday, and at 8:30 and 11 a.m. on Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Winslow. The play is titled “Easter Legacy,” and was written by Rev. Fred Harris, who has made it a practice to write Easter plays. Many members of the congregation comprise the cast of the play.

According to its website, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will be holding services at 5 p.m. on Saturday and at 10 a.m. on Sunday. St. Paul’s is located at 600 Henderson St.

Desert View Baptist Church at 101 Hipkoe will show the movie “Passion of the Christ” at 7 o’clock tonight and hold a resurrection service with Rev. Kevin Berg at 11 a.m. on Sunday, to be followed by a potluck.

The Faith Temple of God in Christ at East Fourth Street and Pope has been advertising an Easter service on its message board at that location.

Most churches in Winslow will hold services at their places of worship on Easter Sunday, and some may hold special services to celebrate that special day in the Christian religion.
