Dalton Nabors checks to see if his raw egg survived a drop from the roof at Park Elementary School in Holbrook. Second grade students were challenged to build a container that would protect an egg well enough to survive the long fall from the cafeteria roof. Students got creative, with one embedding an egg in gelatin and another constructing cardboard landing gear. Dalton’s contraption, which included a plastic bag parachute, was a success, keeping his egg intact.
