The Joseph City Lady Wildcats wrapped up the regular season on Monday afternoon with a home field 8-6 win over Camp Verde.
The Lady Cats got another strong performance from pitcher Taylor Hill, who went all seven innings, facing 30 batters. Hill gave up six runs, only four earned, on eight hits with 10 strikeouts and no walks.
Joseph City broke open a 5-5 tie with two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, then matched Camp Verde with a single run in the sixth to secure the win.
At the plate, Brianna Massey went three for three with a double, an RBI and scored a run. Lindsey Larsen was also three for three with a double, two RBIs and scored once. Savannah Baer went three for four with a double, an RBI and scored twice. Jacie Cochran was two for four with a triple, walked once, had one RBI and scored once. Chevaun Spurlock went one for three with a double, an RBI and scored a run. Hill went one for four, walked once and scored twice. Payton VanDyke went one for three in the win.

The Lady Cats will play in a 1A North Regional Tournament semi-final game as the No. 1 seed this afternoon (April 29). With a win, they will be in the championship game on Saturday at 1 p.m. Both games will be played at Ash Fork High School.
