Photo courtesy of the Snowflake/Taylor Recreation and Parks Department Clay Chapman was one of four lucky Easter basket winners at the 2011 Snowflake/Taylor Easter Egg Hunt.

Lots and lots of hunters hunted lots and lots of eggs in this year’s Snowflake/Taylor Easter Egg Hunt. The hunters scooped up some 2,160 Easter Eggs, along with 500 prize eggs. There were also two Easter grand prizes in each of the hunting areas.

Easter Basket winners were Lillian Jensen, Clay Chapman, Kelton Flake and Clarence Toney.

Grand prize winners were Travis Flake, 1 and 2-year-old division; Amado Chaide, 3 and 4-year-old divi-sion; Chase Alvarez, kindergarten and first grade division; and Kilee Bennett, second and third grade division.

The Snowflake/Taylor Recreation and Parks Department would like to thank all who helped support the event. A very special thanks goes to Ed’s Market for donating the eggs for the hunt. Ed’s Market has always been a major sponsor of the event, and the firm’s continued support is greatly appreciated. Another very special thanks goes to Ace Hardware. Ace donated all of the grand prizes for the event. Other generous supporters in-clude Dr. Craig West, Dr. Brian Birtcher, Silver Creek Pharmacy, Tan Happy, Snowflake Mills Federal Credit Union, PFFJ, Benefit Intelligence-GMI, High Country Floor Coverings and Dollar General.

Thanks go to Sariah Hoffman and Southwest Food Services for helping with the event, especially Sariah, Thala Hadas and Anna Christianson for cooking and dyeing the eggs.
