Allen E. Kendall, 58, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011, surrounded by his family. Memorial services were held July 22 at Norvell Owens Mortuary in Flagstaff.
Allen was born June 26, 1953, in Holbrook to Elmer Lee Kendall and Betty Lou Batson Kendall.
He attended school in Holbrook.
After high school, Allen joined the U.S. Air Force, where he was selected for technical training in Air Operations at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi. He completed his basic training in Lackland, Texas, where he studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs, and received special instruction in human relations. In 1985, after 10 years of service, Allen returned to Arizona.
While working in Flagstaff at his sister’s business, he met the love of his life, Connie, his wife of 23 years. They were joined in marriage on April 23, 1988.
Allen was employed at Walgreens Distribution Center for 23 years.
Allen loved life and his family. He will be truly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Connie (Lorraine) Kendall; his sisters, Pat (Stanley) Freeland of Holbrook, Linda (Leonard) Morgan of Louisville, Ky., Judy (Duane) Lindquist of Flagstaff, Lisa (James) Parsons of Show Low and Cathy (Gene) Travis of Shepherdsville, Ky.; his daughter, Crystal Kendall of Encino, Calif.; his son, Eric Kendall (Cathy) and grandchildren Ethan and Aiden (lil’ Al) of Flagstaff; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends who all loved him dearly, and whom he loved as well.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Walsh and Elmer Kendall; and his brother, Monty R. Gonzales.
