Beatrice Lewis, 71, was called home on Sunday, July 24, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 26 at Madre De Dios Catholic Church in Winslow, with Father Frank Chacon officiating. She was laid to rest at Winslow Cemetery.
She was born in Winslow on April 25, 1940.
She attended Rose Mar Beauty School, and worked as a cosmetologist for many years.
She enjoyed dancing, listening to Mexican music, family gatherings and telling stories. She also enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandkids, teaching them how to bake and make tamales. For relaxation she enjoyed watching novelas and doing crossword puzzles. Everyone was always welcome in her home and she did her best to make sure everyone was fed. She made them all feel like one of her own children or grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
