Mary Suzann “Grandma Sue” Evans, 61, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2011, in Winslow. Funeral services were held July 29 at Greer’s Mortuary Chapel in Winslow, with Pastor Kevin Berg officiating. Interment followed at Desert View Cemetery in Winslow.

She was born Dec. 4, 1949, in Chandler to Elmer and Dorothy Rose.

Grandma Sue will be missed by all. She will always be remembered as the grandma to all. There weren’t many activities that she missed when it came to her grandchildren. She was the most giving and caring woman known. Anyone could simply make a comment about something they wanted or needed, and she would either bake it, sew it, crochet it, or search high and low and get it to them.

Besides attending sport and school activities, Sue loved to travel. She was packing her bags that night for her much anticipated “sister vacation.” She traveled many places and sailed the seas making memories and absorbing the sun rays from all around.

Now she is in heaven with her grandson Jaycob, with a lifetime of memories and sending down those sun rays for all to enjoy.

Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Kenneth Keith Evans; her daughters, Shanna, Rhonda and Tabitha; her son, Nathan; her stepson, Kenny; and her three sisters, Jeannie (Ed), Barbara (Joe) and Marcia (Johnny). The pride and joys of her life were her 12 grandchildren and her great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandsons, Jaycob M. Sedillo, and Angel and Zachariah Evans.
