Reidhead Ranch took the champion buckle for the Ranch Rodeo on Sept. 18. The team included (left to right) Cooper Reidhead, Wayne Solomon, Kylie and Riley Reidhead, Shaun Shirley, and Tyler and Triston Staker. Other teams competing in the event included Bar M Ranch, Plant Ranch, Seibert Ranch and Mann Cattle Company.

Dale Rogers and Cody LeSeuer of the Mann Cattle Company take the cow by the horns with the help of teammates Ralph LeSeuer, Keith James and Josh Thompson as part of the Ranch Rodeo held on Sept. 18.

The grandstands were full during the demolition derby and after all the crashing of metal was done, Frank Dobell IV of Holbrook came out as the overall winner of the event.


The Junior Miss Pageant held during the Navajo County Fair featured many beautiful and talented girls. Winning the crowns this year were (left to right) Leah Blake of Joseph City, White Mountain Outstanding Teen; Kayla Mason of Snowflake, Navajo County Little Miss; Chanlyr Sanchez of Holbrook, Navajo County Miss; Karson Hatch of Holbrook, Navajo County Junior Miss Princess; and Sarah Brawley of Cibecue, Navajo County Outstanding Teen.

Jelena DeSpain held on tight and never opened her eyes while riding this bucking calf during the Little Buckaroo Rodeo.

Kordale DeSpain shows off the second buckle he won at the 2011 Navajo County Fair as All Around Champion in the Pee Wee Division of the Hog Show. He was also All Around Champion in the Pee Wee Division of the Horse Show.
