Jim Reese of Holbrook recently donated to the Navajo County Historical Society Museum a roll of paper from the A.B. Schuster Store used to wrap customers’ purchases. Schuster’s was a general mercantile store established in 1894 on the present Bucket of Blood Street, just west of the famed Bucket of Blood Saloon, and served customers through the mid-1960s. Reese said he had the paper for a long time, acquiring it after the store was closed. The society’s museum features a replica of Schuster’s storefront with a display of merchandise similar to what would have been offered during the store’s early years of operation.
