The Lady Lobos of Snowflake dropped their final regular season soccer match of the season, getting shut out by Round Valley 5-0.

The Lady Elks scored the first goal just 11 minutes into the match, then added two more goals before the halftime break.

In the second period Round Valley quickly added a fourth goal just three minutes into the 40-minute session. One final Round Valley goal came with 12 minutes left. Snowflake nearly got on the board in the final minute, but a nice save by Round Valley’s goalie preserved the shutout.

Snowflake managed 11 shots on goal, but failed to find the net on any of them. Shelbi Rawlins, Matti Scott, Alexis Bateman and Lindsay Webb each took two shots. Kylee Smith, Kiana Natividad and Sherika Peterson all took one shot.

Ashleigh Turley played in goal for 70 minutes, giving up four goals, but turned away 17 shots. Ty Craun allowed one goal in 10 minutes between the posts.

The Lady Lobos wrapped up the regular season with an overall mark of 8-12-1. They were 4-8 in their 12 power point matches, which placed them seventh in the standings. They will face the second ranked team, Desert Christian, at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, at the Quail Run Complex in Mesa.
