The Winslow Bulldogs will host the Cake’s Car Company Winslow Shootout Basketball Tournament this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 1-3. There are eight teams participating in the tournament and all will start with a pool play game to determine their first opponents in bracket play.
The Bulldogs will play the Ganado Hornets at 8 p.m. on Thursday, with the winner to play at 8 p.m. on Friday against the loser of a game between Payson and Tuba City that will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The loser of the Winslow-Ganado game will play at 3:30 p.m. on Friday against the winner of a game between San Tan Foothills and Page at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
The loser of the San Tan Foothills-Page game will play at 5 p.m. on Friday against the winner of a game between Snowflake and Hopi played at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The loser of the Snowflake-Hopi game will play at 6:30 p.m. on Friday against the winner of the San Tan Foothills-Page game.
Winners of Friday’s games will play in the championship bracket on Saturday while losers on Friday will play in the consolation bracket. Action on Saturday will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a consolation bracket game. The championship bracket championship game will be the final of eight games on Saturday and is expected to begin at approximately 8 p.m.
