The Winslow Bulldogs basketball team suffered a 59-37 loss to the Blue Ridge Yellowjackets Tuesday night in Lakeside.
The Bulldogs started well and led 16-13 after the first quarter, but that was the only period in which they scored in double digits. Blue Ridge led 29-25 at the half, but pulled away in the third quarter as the Yellowjackets built a 44-32 advantage. Winslow only scored five points in the final period.
Adam Webb led all players in scoring with 16 points for Blue Ridge. Chris Williams with 13 points and Luke Service with 10 were also in double figures for the Yellowjackets.
Tremayne Nez led the Bulldogs with 14 points and Brennan James added 10.

The loss dropped the Bulldogs to 7-5 for the season. They will journey to Williams tonight (Dec. 16) to meet the Vikings, a team they bested in the season opener. They will complete the 2011 portion of the season before Christmas with a trip to Page to meet the Sand Devils on Tuesday, Dec. 20.
