Julia J. Curley, 91, of Holbrook, Ariz., passed away on November 24, 2011. She was born April 4, 1920, in Indian Wells, Ariz.
During her life she worked as a housekeeper for local families. She also worked at Bellemont for many years in the ammunition department, as well as working at Bob’s and Green Lantern. Her final place of employment was Holbrook Dormitory as a cook. She worked there for many years and retired in 1982. She had many fond memories of her years at the Holbrook Dormitory and the students she met over the years.
Julia is survived by her son, Henry L. Begay of Flagstaff; grandchildren Erika Begay of Lake Valley, N.M., and Roxanne Begay-Shupla of Flagstaff; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Nov. 29 in Holbrook, with burial at Holbrook City Cemetery.
