Playing their make-up game at St. Johns on Friday night the Roadrunners pushed their unbeaten streak to 10 games with a 61-38 victory over the Redskins.
Holbrook started slowly, leading just 12-6 at the end of the first period, but exploded in the second quarter to take a commanding 38-15 half time lead. Eight players scored for the Birds in the second led by Rashaun Baldwin’s seven points. Torrian Epps and Jalen Jackson each added four.
The third period belonged to Jackson, who scored 12 of his 17 points to help Holbrook extend its lead to 32 points heading to the fourth quarter. Playing with a big lead, the Roadrunners scored just one point in the fourth, a free throw from Kyle Chee, as they cruised to the big win.
Holbrook made 12 of 16 charity tosses and hit three shots from distance, including two by Dakota Lester. St. Johns countered with nine of 15 from the line and also made three from behind the arc.
Epps and Jackson shared scoring honors for the Roadrunners as each scored 17 points. Baldwin added 7; Lester, 6; Bryson Keoni, 4; Decoven Adams, 3; Jesse Spangler, Frank Martin and Sheldon Silversmith, 2 each; and Kyle Chee, 1.

After playing at Snowflake on Monday in a game that could test their unbeaten streak, the Roadrunners will host Alchesay on Thursday, Dec. 22, in their final game before the Christmas break. They will play in the White Mountain Holiday Classic in Lakeside after Christmas.
