Hoping to build on their elevated level of play from the final day at the Winslow Winter Classic, the Lady Roadrunners of Holbrook accomplished that by handling the Lady Lobos 67-33 on Monday night in Snowflake.

In the second, Holbrook’s defense played well, forcing several Snowflake turnovers and limiting the Lady Lobos to just one field goal while building on its lead with a 17-point period. Kellin Bakurza, who led all scorers in the game with 17, picked up seven of hers in the second period.

The Lady Birds put away any doubt as to the outcome of the game by doubling up the Snowflake squad in the third quarter. Eight different Holbrook players scored in the quarter.
