The Winslow Bulldogs won a tight game over the Blue Ridge Yellowjackets 54-49 in Winslow last Thursday. The win was Winslow’s first since the start of the 2012 portion of the season and improved the Bulldogs’ record to 10-11 for the season.
Blue Ridge led 12-10 after the first quarter of play and 23-20 at the half, thanks to a long three-point bank shot. The Bulldogs came back to tie the score at 34-34 after three periods of play. The fourth quarter was tight and usually tied until the closing seconds when the Bulldogs hit clutch free throws to seal the victory. .
Tremayne Nez led all scorers with 15 points for the Bulldogs. Josh Danny was also in double figures for Winslow with 13 points.
Chris William led Blue Ridge with 12 points. Adam Webb was also in double figures for the Yellowjackets with 10 points.
