Paul Jaramillo won the 126-pound division championship with a tough 4-2 decision over Cutter Gouker of Blue Ridge to take the only championship a Bulldog wrestler was to get in the Division III Sectional Meet.
Three other Winslow wrestlers placed in the meet, which was hosted by the Bulldogs last weekend. James Martinez finished fourth in the 152-pound division. Jacob Huddleston placed fifth in the 170-pound division and Chad Colvin was fifth in the 220-pound division.
Coconino won the team trophy with a score of 195.5 over second place Blue Ridge at 186.5. Mingus was third at 174.5, followed by Snowflake at 157.5 and Page at 116.5.
Jaramillo had a first round bye in the 126-pound division, and defeated Tyler Mayo of River Valley by a fall to reach the semifinals against William McCray of Payson, whom he also beat by a fall. He then defeated Cutter Gouker of Blue Ridge for the championship by decision, 4-2.
Martinez won his first match in the 152-pound division by a fall over Jacob Feldlecamp of Page, but lost his second match by a fall to Jacob Lucas of Snowflake. He then defeated Dewyn Harriman of Chino Valley by a pin and Marshall Tolleson by a decision, followed by a decision over Matthew Huffman of Mohave to reach a match for third place, which he lost to Dominic Romero of Show Low.
Huddleston lost his match to Lee Robertson of Coconino by a fall in the 170-pound division, but pinned Tye Nelson of Chinle, lost by a fall to Brandon Morales of Mingus, then bested Andre Orozco of Mohave for fifth place.
Chad Colvin lost his opening match in the 280-pound division to John Hockman of Mingus by a fall. He had a bye in the next round before losing to Alfonso Taylor of Coconino by a fall. He pinned Coniah Biagody of Page to win fifth place.
Brandon Sedillo won his first match in the 126-pound division over Adam Young of Monument Valley by a fall, but lost his second match to Wryder Richards of Blue Ridge by a fall. Sedillo had two byes after that, then lost to Mark Duncan of Show Low by a fall.
Daniel Lopez lost his first match in the 113-pound division to Edwin Vargas of Mohave by a fall, got a bye, then lost to Brendan Catron of Page by a decision.
Chad Edgmon lost his opening match in the 132-pound division to Scott Bradford of Mohave by decision, got a bye, then lost to John Clark of Show Low by a fall.
Colton Corum lost his match to Julius Descheenie of Page in the 145-pound division after a bye, then pinned Brandon Wahl of Show Low before losing to Lane Whipple of Snowflake by a fall.
Dustin Key lost his first match in the 160-pound division to Xavier Perry of Mohave by a fall. He had a bye before losing to Alex Foree of Snowflake by a fall.
