The annual Snowflake-Taylor Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet will be held on Friday, March 9, at the Taylor Stake Center, located at 309 W. Willow. Tickets are $20 a person or $140 for a table of eight. Dinner will be your choice of pecan crusted salmon or turkey and all the trimmings.
Awards for Business Man and Business Woman for 2011 will be given following the dinner. Business of the year honors will be awarded in a number of categories.
Nominees for Business Man of the Year include Mark Abram of Frontier Communications, Jimmy Applegate of Point Restoration, Kirk Brimhall of Brimhall Sand & Rock, and Jason Brubaker of Silver Creek Mortuary.
Nominees for Business Woman of the Year include Olivia Bentley of Silver Creek Flowers, Beverlee Kay of Kay Supply, Nancy Scannell of Gift Baskets by Nancy and Linda Tetmyer of Snowflake Candle and Soapworks.
Nominees for Large Business of the Year include Catalyst Snowflake Paper Mill, Frontier Communications, Hatch Motor Company, Larson Waste and National Bank of Arizona.
Medium Business of the Year nominees include Ace Hardware, Ed’s IGA, La Cocina de Eva, Pro Build and Silver Creek Pharmacy.
Small Business of the Year nominees include Heritage Inn B&B, Kay Supply, Silver Creek Flowers & Gifts, Silver Creek Mortuary and Silver Creek Walk-In Clinic.
Nominees for Non-Profit of the Year include Big Brothers Big Sisters, Silver Creek Senior Center, Snowflake Academy Foundation and Snowflake Heritage Foundation.
