Shawna Lynn Howard Saline, 30, a beautiful daughter of our Father in Heaven, departed her earthly life on Sunday, March 4, 2012. Funeral services were held March 8 at the Snowflake Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Shawna was born in Farmington, N.M., on Jan. 27, 1982. She grew up in the small town of Lindrith, N.M., until 1993, when she and her mother moved to Snowflake. She worked at Malapais Meat Packing in Taylor.
Shawna loved, and was loved by everyone she met. Her infectious smile and bubbly personality will be sorely missed.
Survivors include her husband, Donald V. Saline and his three sons, Vant, Clayton and Landon; her mother and best friend, Patsy L. Wood; her sisters, Jacquelyn (Eric) Thorpe, Tanya (Greg) Valdez and Jennifer (Andy) Whetten; her grandmother, Alice J. Wood; and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lowell Mark Howard; her grandfather, Lee Rue Nielsen Wood; and her cousin, SFC Makisha C. Wood.
