James Gordon Miller, 68, of Mesa passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012, due to several medical problems.
He was born on Oct. 15, 1943.
James was in the Army, a Vietnam survivor and loved being in the service. He was a police officer, certified welder, mobile home manager, a volunteer fireman in Holbrook, where he lived for four years, and much more! He lived and loved a very busy life. He belonged to a fire department and was an engineer. He loved motorcycles, playing golf and racing cars. He always said his dreams had been completed.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Survivors include his soulmate, best friend and wife of 34 years, Wanda Miller; daughter Delores Mize (Cyril Myes), daughter Donna Mitchell (Tom Mitchell), son Michael Miller and family, and daughter Michelle Miller and family; his beloved granddaughters, Samantha Ann Mitchell and Mae Arsula Mize; and many, many friends.
According to his wishes, there will be no viewing or service, as his ashes will be spread at sea.
May God watch over Jim and take him home.
