The death of a Winslow woman is being investigated as a homicide by Winslow Police Department, although it is not clear how she died.
According to a press release issued by the department, officers responded to a residence in the 700 block of West Oak Street at 1:42 a.m. on Tuesday, March 27, where resident Crystal Marie King, 32, was found unresponsive. After attempting to revive King for 30 minutes, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Although no information has been released regarding the possible cause of death, two suspects, Rodcell Lyn Nez, 23, and Benjamin Yazzie Jr., 37, both of Chinle, have been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the incident. Both men are currently being held at the Navajo County Jail, and results from an autopsy are expected this week.
