Tuesday afternoon’s final regular season game at Snowflake was essentially a playoff game for the Lady Roadrunners. Sitting at 25th in the power point rankings going into the game, Holbrook had to have the win to advance to the post season. Unfortunately, things didn’t go their way, especially late in the game.

Holbrook moved on top early with a run in the first, but gave up three to the home team in the second. The closest they got the rest of the way was 4-3 midway through the fourth inning. Snowflake tacked on one in the bottom of the fourth, then closed out the game and Holbrook’s season scoring nine runs in the bottom of the fifth, ending the game under the ten run rule with a 14-3 win.

Holbrook finished their season 12-14 overall under first year head Coach Claude Bakurza, but with only a small group of seniors on the roster, look for the Lady Roadrunners to continue to improve next season.
