Warmer spring days make for great basking weather for this Eastern Collared Lizard perched on a piece of petrified wood in Petrified Forest National Park. One of the few lizards that can run on their back feet, this reptile is just one of the colorful living inhabitants of the Petrified Forest. Wildflowers are also on vibrant display in the high desert park, which will switch to summer hours of 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 6.
