Competing against 17 other teams, the Joseph City Lady Wildcats finished in sixth place in their division of the Snowflake Invitational track meet, the final qualifying meet of the season, while the Wildcats placed 11th in their division.

In the girls’ 800 meter run, Joseph City’s Kristin Baldwin placed first; Britney Smith, 11th; Emily Hunt, 21st; and Shannon Mosier, 27th.

In the 1600 meter run, Kayla Hughes was seventh; and Emily Hunt, 24th.

In the 100 meter hurdles, Sara Solomon placed fourth.

In the 300 meter hurdles, Sara Solomon placed second.

In the shot put, Kaitlyn Pugh was eighth; Tori Baird, 13th; Madisen Fields, 14th; and Susan Normandin, 31st.

In the discus, Kaitlyn Pugh placed sixth; Madisen Fields, 12th; Susan Normandin, 13th; and Tori Baird, 16th.

In the high jump, Britney Smith placed seventh.

In the triple jump, Kayla Hughes placed 12th.

In the boys’ 100 meter dash, Joseph City’s Jaden Parra was 23rd; and Andy Pearce, 44th.

In the 200 meter dash, Josh Burt placed 11th; and Jaden Parra, 20th.

In the 400 meter dash, Austin Gardner was 19th; and Landon Baldwin, 36th.

In the 800 meter run, Landen Hunt placed 19th; Landon Baldwin, 21st; and Andy Pearce, 33rd.

In the 1600 meter run, Landen Hunt was 17th.

In the 110 meter hurdles, Chance Rush finished sixth.

In the 300 meter hurdles, Chance Rush finished seventh.

In the shot put, Harrison Lorenc placed 20th; and Michael Diaz, 40th.

In the discus, Dallin Baldwin placed 20th; Harrison Lorenc, 31st; and Michael Diaz, 37th.

In the high jump, Lance Farnes finished 16th.

In the long jump, Jacob Fields was eighth; Lance Farnes, 14th; and Daniel Hutchens, 24th.

In the triple jump, Jacob Fields placed second; and Austin Gardner, fifth.

Those who have met the qualifying standards during the season will compete at the Division IV State Championships slated on Friday and Saturday, May 11 and 12, at Mesa Community College.
