The Hopi Travel Plaza, a subsidiary of the Hopi Tribe Economic Development Corporation (HTEDC), will be holding a Native American Market monthly this summer, beginning Memorial Day weekend. Arts and crafts booths will be set up, and performers are to be scheduled daily. The initial market will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday through Monday, May 25-28 on the south side of the Travel Plaza, just off Interstate 40 at exit 292.
This event is sponsored by HTEDC for the Native artisans and performers of the Hopi, Navajo and surrounding tribes. Performers and vendors may pick up applications at the Hopi Travel Plaza, or contact Lisa Talayumptewa at (928) 522-8675 for more information.
