Peggy “Momma” DeBottis, 72, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012, in Winslow. Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock this morning (May 23) at Desert View Baptist Church in Winslow, with interment to fol-low at Desert View Cemetery.
Peggy was born Nov. 21, 1939, in Jenkins, Ky.
She had been an Arizona resident since moving here from Raleigh, N.C., in 1989.
She enjoyed being with family, gardening, church and her lab Coco, who was a very loyal companion.
She was a secretary at Little Colorado Medical Center for five years.
Survivors include her husband, John T. DeBottis, Jr.; stepson John DeBottis, III (Whitney Crook); daughter Alma “Libby” Harings; brother Eddie Sanders (Chris) of Mason, Ohio; and several grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Steve Sanders and Alma Dixon; and two brothers, Gary Sanders and Paul Sanders.
Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.
