Darlene M. Mitchell quietly exited this life for a more abundant life, eternal in the Heavens. Graveside services were held June 9 at Winslow Desert View Cemetery.
Darlene was born in Albion, Neb., with her twin sister.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in health services from Connors State University in Oklahoma, she continued her career in private practice, meeting and caring for so many who loved her and stayed in touch.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her sons, John R. Mitchell (Colleen) of South Carolina, Matthew D. Mitchell (Jody) of Texas and Mark A. Mitchell (Candace); and three brothers and four sisters, Marie Teeple (Don) of California, Robert J. Long (Rose) of California, Marlene L. Rusnak of Winslow, Paul M. Long (Donna) of California, David L. Long (Sharon) of Oklahoma, Susan K. Driggers (Randy) of Oklahoma and Sarah M. Robinson (Walt) of Missouri. Darlene was gifted with seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William J. Long Jr.
Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.
