Many fourth and fifth grade students at Joseph City Elementary School are members of the Joseph City Chess Club. They met twice a week during their lunch hour to compete. The club includes (front row, left to right) Kimberlin Johnstun, Dallas Taylor, Katie Hutchens, Farrah Ashcroft, Shane Lerma, Jacob Bushman, Cameron Baldwin, (back row) Taylor Fields, Max Mosier, Jack Hardy, Justin Hunt, Eligh Ashcraft, Joshua Fisher, Callie Pugh, Hayden Tubbs and Ethan Hansen.
Sixth grader Max Mosier was champion of the Joseph City Chess Club at Joseph City Elementary School this year, and fifth grader Jack Hardy took runner up honors.
