Roger Ward Frost, 61, of Pinetop passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the Little Colorado Medical Center in Winslow. Private services are planned.
He was born to the late Druce and Lydia (Penrod) Frost on March 26, 1951, in San Diego, Calif.
Roger married the love of his life, Lu Anne Durney, on July 15, 1978, at his parent’s home in Lakeside, and they enjoyed nearly 34 wonderful years of marriage before his passing.
An avid golfer Roger loved to hit the links. He found much joy in the game, and enjoyed spending time with his friends throughout the many courses found in the beautiful White Mountains.
Throughout his life he worked as a carpenter for various companies in the area. He loved working with his hands and enjoyed seeing the finished project.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, he will truly be missed.
Survivors include his loving wife, Lu Anne Frost of Pinetop; a wonderful daughter, Melissa (Jason) Glinzak of Payson; three grandchildren, Tylar Anne, J.W. and Lane, all of Payson; six brothers, Ron Frost of Corvallis, Ore., Ardel Frost of Lakeside, Scott (Mary) Frost of Rio Rancho, N.M., Darwin (Cathy) Frost of Midland, Texas, Eldon (Tammy) Frost of Tucson and Bob (Carole) Sippel of San Jose, Calif.; two sisters, Lonnie (Skip) Vaughan of Sahuarita and Pam (Bob) McQueen of Spring Valley, Calif.; as well as his constant companion, “Bandit.”
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Humane Society of the White Mountains, P.O. Box 909, Lakeside, Ariz. 85929.
Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low was in charge of the arrangements.
