The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the crash of a small airplane that blocked a portion of Coopertown Road south of Winslow near the airport at approximately 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11. According to Commander John James, one fatality was confirmed. The plane is a small, amateur built experimental plane registered out of California. No other information was available at press time.
