Candidates vying for votes in the upcoming primary elections in northern Arizona will present their plat-forms at the 2012 Candidate Forum hosted by the Holbrook Chamber of Commerce at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, at the George Gardner Performing Arts Center in Holbrook.
The forum will provide an opportunity for Holbrook area citizens to hear from candidates running for re-gional offices that directly affect Holbrook and surrounding communities. Candidates for the following offices have confirmed or tentatively confirmed their participation: Navajo County Treasurer, Navajo County Asses-sor, Navajo County Recorder, Navajo County Attorney, Navajo County Sheriff, Superior Court Judge, Divi-sions 2, 3 and 4, and County Board of Supervisors, District 3.
The candidates will present a brief overview of their individual priorities and plans should they be elected to office. A question and answer session will follow candidate remarks, and will be moderated by Holbrook High School Principal Lance Phaturos. Audience members will have the opportunity to present questions for the candidates to answer.
The event is free of charge and open to the public. For more information, contact the Holbrook Chamber of Commerce at (928) 524-6558.
