Dani Jo Fox, 30, and her son, Zachary David, 3, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, from injuries sustained in an auto accident outside Las Vegas, Nev. Funeral services were held July 23.
Dani was born Oct. 12, 1981, in Winslow to David Van and Peggy Ranae Miller Palmer. On Dec. 10, 2004, she married Cody Isaac Fox in the St. George LDS Temple. Zachary, their third son, was born July 1, 2009, in Las Vegas.
Dani grew up in Joseph City. At the age of 10, her family settled in Overton, Nev., where she graduated from Moapa Valley High School. She attended UNR for one year before serving as a full-time missionary in the Washington Spokane Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day. She enjoyed swimming, working as a pharmacy tech and being a mother. She looked for opportunities to serve others.
She loved serving as a volunteer firefighter and EMT for the Overton Fire Station. She will be remembered as a loving mother, wife and friend.
Zachary was a playful little boy, sometimes a little grumpy like his grandpa, but always ready to tease and have fun. He loved his momma.
Survivors include Dani’s husband, Cody of Overton, Nev.; her sons, Ruger Dean and Logan Isaac of Over-ton; her parents, David and Peggy Palmer of Overton; Cody’s parents, Wade and KayLee Fox of Pleasant Grove, Utah; Dani’s grandparents, Van and Joy Palmer of Holbrook, and Jack and Carole Miller of Joseph City; Cody’s grandparents, Kaye and Lona Fox of Highland, Utah, and Lee and Nikki Brady of Lehi, Utah; Dani’s three sisters and one brother, Kimber (Robbie) Tuckfield and Kristen (Daniel) Beatty, both of Joseph City, Amanda of Mesa and Michael (Hiedi) of Overton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an account at America First Credit Union for the Cody Fox Memorial.
Moapa Valley Mortuary of Logandale, Nev., was in charge of the arrangements.
