The annual Snowflake Pioneer Days celebration will be held on Friday and Saturday, July 27 and 28.
The historic homes will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is $1 per home per person or $12 for a family pass. Tours begin at the Stinson Museum.
The craft show will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Snowflake Municipal Golf Course, located off Highway 277 at 90 N. Country Club Drive.
The Little Theatre will present Arizona Centennial Show at 5 p.m. on Friday and at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Snowflake Social Hall.
The Snowflake Academy Foundation will hold a quilt show from 12 noon to 5 p.m. on Friday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Snowflake Academy Building. Admission is $1. Please enter on the north side of the building. Raffle tickets for a beautiful quilt will be offered for $1 each or 25 for $20.
Little Shop of Horrors, a family comedy, will be presented at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Snowflake High School auditorium. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door.
The Snowflake Rodeo will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the Taylor Rodeo Grounds, and will feature professional and local events combined. Admission is $5 per person, with children under 5 admitted free. Fireworks will follow at 9:15 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Church championship softball games will be played from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday and from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sat-urday at the Centennial Ball Park. No admission will be charged.
Dances will be held at 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and appropriate dress is required. The youth dances will be held at the Snowflake Main Street Chapel parking lot. Admission is $2. The young singles adult dances for ages 18-30 will be at the Pioneer Park Chapel parking lot with free admission.
Saturday’s events open with the Pioneer Day Run, which includes a 10K run, and a two-mile run or walk, at 6 a.m. at Country Club Drive. The fee is $12, which includes a T-shirt.
The Kids’ Foot Races begin promptly at 8 a.m. on the front lawn of the Main Street Chapel. There is no charge.
The Pioneer Day Parade begins at 9 a.m., and will travel down Second West. The Pioneer Program will im-mediately follow at the Main Street LDS Chapel.
Barbecue will be served for $5 per plate from 11 a.m. until the food is gone at the Snowflake Social Hall.
Free swimming will be offered from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the Snowflake Pool, located at First South and Third West.
The Nashville Tribute Band will perform live with special guest Michael McLean at 5 p.m. at the Snowflake High School auditorium. Tickets are $10 each, and are available at Shevell’s and online at www.nashvilletributeband.com.
A single adult dance for ages 30+ will be held from 8 to 11 p.m. on Saturday at the Snowflake Stake Center. Admission is $2.
