The Winslow City Council held a special meeting Tuesday and passed an ordinance setting the property tax rate at an amount sufficient to bring in $332,638 in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2013. The ordinance was passed on an emer-gency basis and includes the statement that if the rate of tax per $100 of property value needed to raise the stated sum is more than legally allowed, the Navajo County Board of Supervisors will lower the rate to the maximum allowed.
The council also met in executive season for legal advice from Attorney Dale Patton.
