Gary Robert Wands, 54, a longtime resident of Heber, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 29, 2012, of an apparent heart attack. His family will be holding a private celebration of his life, and ask that you take the time to do something you enjoy in special remembrance of Gary. He would want nothing less than for you to live your life to the fullest and enjoy today!
He was the oldest of four children, and was born on Aug. 11, 1957, in Hamtramck, Mich., to Robert and Arlene Joann (Good) Wands.
Gary, being retired and enjoying the cabin life on the Mogollon Rim in Heber, surrounded himself with fam-ily and friends, and filled his life with the things he loved and enjoyed the most. He was passionate about music, playing his guitars, enjoying the outdoors, traveling and being connected to the open road on his iron horse (Harley).
He was a great man, son, brother and friend. Rest in peace, Gary Robert Wands. Along with his parents, Gary is survived by his two brothers, Jerry Wands and Barry Wands; and by his sister, Mary Wands.
Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low was in charge of the arrangements.
