Danette Mills Partridge, 64, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at her home in Socorro, N.M., fol-lowing a brave and valiant battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1112 El Camino Real in Socorro, where visitation will begin one hour prior.
Danette was born on Dec. 3, 1947, in McNary to the late Gilbur and Neola (Reidhead) Mills.
She grew up in Show Low, and attended school in Show Low as well as Snowflake. She was a member of band and played the coronet.
One of her greatest loves in life was her horses. Danette also loved to go hunting and camping.
She married Terry Webb in 1962. Together, they had one child, Nova Lee.
Danette had lived in Wyoming, but spent most of her married life in Socorro. She later married the true love of her life, Jerry Partridge, on Dec. 31, 2002. When she breathed her last, those she loved the most, her husband, Jerry, and her daughter, Nova Lee, were at her side.
Danette’s family was very special to her, and brought her years of joy and real happiness.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Partridge of Socorro; her daughter, Nova Lee (Edmundo) Soto of Socorro; two grandsons, Jason Fejes and Skyler Soto, both of Socorro; one great-grandson, Brennon Jay Robinson; four sisters, Yvonne (Robert) Gibbons, Darla (Dick) Baird, Norene Ellsworth and Chanda (Bill) Hunt; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents, Danette was preceded in death by her nephew, Gilbur Dean Cook; her brother-in-law, Kenneth Ellsworth; her mother-in-law, Joann Soust Partridge; and her stepdaughter, Jillian Partridge.
Memorial contributions in Danette’s name to hospice have been suggested by her family.
