The City of Winslow is gearing up for its 14th annual Standin’ On The Corner Festival. This event draws crowds from all over the state and there’s a good reason that it does. Each year this event has grown to include more of the state’s top music acts.
This year’s venue includes a great mix of classic rock, country, rhythm and blues, jazz and more from bands such as Tommy Dukes, The Shegals, Northern Latino Express, Rick Morales Band, Mantis, The Visi-tors, A Boy Named Sioux and the Dusty Roads Band.
The event will be held on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28 and 29, at the Eagles Pavilion located on Second Street and Campbell Avenue. Stage entertainment begins at 10 a.m. on Friday and continues on until 1 a.m. Saturday, then starts up again at 9 a.m. on Saturday, concluding at 1 a.m. on Sunday.
Other events taking place include a performance by the Winslow Stars National Dance Team, Sounds of Faith, Northland Pioneer College Ballet Folklorico, acoustic guitar music by Nat Larson, Brooke Bohner, Kent & Cameron, and Morgan Desaulnier. Vendors will be present throughout the event, providing food and merchandise for sale.
