Vilate McKinnon Lloyd, 93, of Aurora, Utah, returned to her Father in Heaven on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, in Monroe, Utah, surrounded by her family, who will mourn her passing and celebrate her reunion with her husband, daughter and many others who preceded her in death. Graveside services and interment will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, in the Randolph Cemetery in Utah. Friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield, Utah, and from 12 to 12:45 p.m. on Saturday at the ward chapel in Randolph.
She was born May 29, 1919, in Randolph to Archibald and Pearl Muir McKinnon.
Vilate married Elbert W. Lloyd on April 24, 1938, in Randolph. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on May 29, 1944. He preceded her in death on Jan. 26, 1985, in Richfield.
She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many posi-tions. Her kind acts of service to her family, friends and others will be her legacy. She never knew how not to serve others.
Vilate loved her family and her church. She will always be remembered by her family and friends for her sense of humor and unconditional love.
Survivors include her children, RaNae (Lee) Bodine of Evanston, Wyo., Cheryl Young of Holbrook and Delbert (Kathleen) Lloyd of Aurora; 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert; her daughter, Yvonne Lloyd; her parents; two sons-in-law, Neil Young and Rees “Tubb” Nicholls; and all her brothers and sisters. She was the last of the McKinnon children.
