The City of Winslow is gearing up for its 14th annual Standin’ On The Corner Festival, scheduled on Fri-day and Saturday, Sept. 28 and 29, at the Eagles Pavilion located on Second Street and Campbell Avenue. Stage entertainment begins at 10 a.m. on Friday and continues on until 1 a.m. Saturday, then starts up again at 9 a.m. on Saturday, concluding at 1 a.m. on Sunday. This event draws crowds from all over the state and there’s a good reason that it does. Each year this event has grown to include more of the state’s top music acts.
This year’s venue includes a great mix of classic rock, country, rhythm and blues, jazz and more from bands such as Tommy Dukes, The Shegals, Northern Latino Express, Rick Morales Band, Mantis, The Visi-tors, A Boy Named Sioux and the Dusty Roads Band.
Other events taking place include a performance by the Winslow Stars National Dance Team, Sounds of Faith, Northland Pioneer College Ballet Folklorico, acoustic guitar music by Nat Larson, Brooke Bohner, Kent & Cameron, and Morgan Desaulnier. Vendors will be present throughout the event, providing food and merchandise for sale.
