Alik Andrew Nelson went to be with Heavenly Father on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012. Funeral services were held Sept. 19 at the Snowflake Arizona LDS Stake Center. Interment took place at the Mike Ramsey Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake.
He was born to Terry Alvin Nelson and Debie Lynn Nelson on July 9, 1996, in Snowflake and lived there all of his 16 years.
Alik had a sweet spirit and kind heart. His smiling face and positive outlook affected all those around him. He was a highly achieved baseball player and enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially bull riding and camping. He was active in the Civil Air Patrol program. He had recently discovered a passion for performing arts and was excited to participate in the Statehood production as Key-no-toe. His talents were numerous and he was actively developing them. He loved his family. He will be greatly missed and his memories will be cherished forever.
Survivors include his parents, Terry Nelson and Debie Nelson; his sister Angela Teachout, brother-in-law Curtis Teachout, nephews Wiley, Brayden Carter, Kalem and Tyce, and nieces Avery, Sadie and baby Lux; his sister Amber Burke, brother-in-law Jonathan Burke and nephew James; his sister Amanda Bushman and brother-in-law Gregg Bushman; his sisters Aliesha, Sariah, Maria, Angelina and Lori Nelson; his grandmothers, Donna Cooper and Emily Nelson; his grandfather, Alvin Nelson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William J. Nelson; and his grandfather, Jerry B. Cooper.
Silver Creek Mortuary in Taylor was in charge of the arrangements.
