Fall is here and to celebrate the season, the Holbrook Chamber of Commerce is hosting a family festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Hunt Park. The event will include kids’ carnival games, as well as contests for all ages with prizes for the winners. Each activity will cost $1 or less. A pumpkin painting con-test will be held at 12 noon for the kids, followed by a pumpkin carving contest for adults at 12:30 p.m. At 1 p.m., a kid’s costume contest will take place and the judging for the pumpkin contests will be held at 2 p.m., with winners announced at 2:30 p.m. The chamber is seeking groups or organizations to man game booths for the event. No space fee will be charged.
Also taking place at Hunt Park that day will be an Art Walk hosted by the Holbrook Regional Arts Alliance from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free for all artists who would like to participate. Forms are available at city hall, located at 465 First Ave., and the deadline to submit the form is Friday, Oct. 26. Artists must provide their own table, chairs, pop-up tents and displays. No electricity will be provided. The alliance requires that all art-work on display be suitable for all ages. For more information, contact the Holbrook Chamber of Commerce at (928) 524-6225.
