The Lady Lobos head into the final two weeks of the regular volleyball season possibly needing to win at least half of their four remaining matches to make the state tournament. At the beginning of last week, Snow-flake was ranked No. 19 in power point rankings.
A 3-0 win over Mogollon last Tuesday followed by a 3-0 home court win over Alchesay the next day will have helped them get closer to the top 16, which is where they need to finish to make the state playoffs.
With each of their four remaining matches at home, Snowflake will host three teams ranked higher in power points. On Thursday, Oct. 18, they will welcome in the only team seeded below them when Window Rock comes in ranked No. 25. The next evening Snowflake plays host to Mingus, currently ranked No. 13 and vying for a playoff spot. On Tuesday, Oct. 23, the Lady Lobos will begin their final week of the regular sea-son by hosting a very good second ranked Safford team. Two nights later, Blue Ridge, also ranked in the top 12, will be Snowflake’s final opponent of the regular season.
